Maano Adventures Reservation Policies

Please read carefully

When you book your trip we commit our guides and equipment to that trip to make sure you’ll have the best possible Zambezi white water rafting trip. We also turn away other customers who may want to raft at the same time you chose. In return we ask a few things from you:

Deposits and Payments

A deposit would be required to reserve the date and activity. We accept a10% deposit and the entire balance is due when you reach Livingstone, Zambia. You will receive an email confirming your trip together with a downloadable itinerary document.

Confirmation

For agents, at the time you place your tentative reservation, you and our reservationist will set an appropriate CONFIRMATION DATE which will give you time to organize your group and collect their payment. This date is normally two weeks in advance of your trip date. On your confirmation date, please communicate with us and notify us how many in your group have confirmed and we will adjust your tentative number to a confirmed number.

Cancellation Policies

Individual Bookings

A minimum of 24 hours notice of any cancellation is required to avoid cancellation fees being charged. If you cancel with 24+ notice you will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations with less than 24 hours will be charged a 50% cancellation charge. No shows without prior communication will be charged a 100% cancellation fee but you will be given another date to do your trip.

Rafting Policies - Age, weight, height limits

The age limit for Zambia white water rafting is 15 years old. We can, however, take you for the Zambezi white water trip at the discretion of the GUIDE and with parental consent but only if you fit in our Class 5 personal floating jackets. There is no upper age limit.

There are no weight or height restrictions. However, everyone must be able to fit into a class V PFD (life vest). If you’re worried email us.

Other restrictions

We do not allow anyone to raft pregnant. If you or someone in your group has health issues please consult a physician. Zambezi white water rafting is a strenuous activity and hiking up and down is an equally daunting task. Please disclose your health history (if you feel, it can affect your rafting) to your guide especially if you have conditions like epilepsy, diabetes, previous heart surgery or any condition that you think may affect you during rafting.

Waivers

Everyone who rafts down the Zambezi River must sign a liability waiver. If anyone in your group is under the age of 18 the waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian. Click here to see disclaimer

Alcohol and Drugs

The consumption of alcohol or illegal drugs before or during your Zambezi rafting trip is prohibited.

Dangerous behaviour

Please listen to and obey your guide. Maano Adventures guides are extremely well trained. They want you to have great fun but they also want everyone to be safe. MAANO ADVENTURES reserves the right to remove any individual from a white water rafting trip if their behaviour in any way interferes with safety.
